Golden Charter Pre-Paid Funeral Plans
The most thoughtful decision you could make
How planning your funeral brings peace of mind. Consideration for others is the most common reason for buying a Golden Charter plan. Peace of mind is the most common benefit. With Golden Charter you know that your loved ones will be spared much of the burden of bereavement. You’ll have specified every detail of the funeral in advance, selected the director and taken care of the costs.
A guarantee that covers all your independent funeral director’s services.
The price of funerals, like everything else, keeps going up. But no matter how much the future services of your funeral director may rise in cost, neither you nor your loved ones will be asked for a penny more for them.
There are some costs that are paid on your behalf by the funeral director. They are known as disbursements, and include the fees of cemeteries, crematoria, doctors, clergy, newspaper notices and memorials. These costs are not within your funeral director’s control. Only if the increase in these costs were to exceed the increase provided for in the plan might there be any balance to pay at the time of need.
Payment goes directly to Golden Charter Trust. The Trust Fund is a separate legal entity from Gold Charter and Fund will continue until every plan has been carried and payment made to the funeral director.
Sometimes it is difficult for those suffering bereavement to visit one of our offices. Arrangements can be made in the privacy of your own home if this is preferred. As a truly family owned funerals directors we at J Wagstaff’s care for the community that we live and work in and will be there where ever we are needed.
Horse Drawn Funerals
A horse drawn funeral is “A Special way of saying Goodbye”
The traditional horse drawn hearse has regained its historic popularity in recent years, and sits well with our fleet of cars.
We are often asked about this type of funeral, and can provide this service, traditional black hearse and horses with black plumes and drapes, we can also provide white hearse and horses with plumes in different colours.
Equally we can provide other types of motor hearses and cars, such as motor cycle funerals.
We can assist with all types of memorial work, from providing new memorials to renovating existing memorials.
We can arrange to insert notices in the newspaper whether it be locally or nationally to give information about funeral arrangements.
There are now places bringing a return to beautiful, natural, native woodland, helping to make migration sites for animals. Both wild flora and fauna are encouraged. The woodlands are protected places in which to be buried or ashes buried.
The importance of woodland is being realised across the globe. Woodland provides shelter, fuel and food, it rejuvenates soil, and it reduces carbon and replenishes oxygen. Woods support life.
In some woodlands, native wild flowers are planted on the graves; snowdrops, daffodils and bluebells. To provide a beautiful carpet of colour.
As the surroundings are natural, without traditional stone memorials, trees are planted instead, they are more like a park area.
In this situation the type of coffin or ashes casket chosen can also be a natural product, such as wicker/bamboo/seagrass/banana leaf/wool to name a few.
